Licavoli Crime Family

We can define Licavoli Crime Family also known as Mafia as a hidden group or a secret organization. Mafia is mostly involved in various illegal activities as smuggling and drug dealing. It is believed that strong Mafia networks are spread all around the world which makes them very powerful. Gambling, racketeering, and prostitution are some illegal deeds in which mafia are mostly involved.

If we talk about Licavoli crime family history, its foundation will be established around 1920. This foundation had great power and gave rise to world mafia. It is believed that mostly immigrant of Italy and Sicily created groups to carry out all the illicit tasks and named their group as Mafia.

Their main agenda was to establish criminal groups in the society. The crime families mainly aroused from Italy, as Mussolini carried out huge trials to punish such criminals. Drug dealers, smugglers, and blackmailers were punished severely.

Some members managed to escape out from those trails and punishments and moved towards America to grow their network. America was financially very strong during that time. Hence these people found it to be the best place to carry out their illegal activities.

Due to these reasons, criminals went to America to reform their criminal network. It was really interesting to know that before joining these groups, criminals had to take an oath. Obedience to their boss, loyalty towards the organization and providing assistance to different mafia groups were some of the important points included in the oath.

As there was no law to handle such activities, the government was helpless against these groups. America soon became a hub for such criminal deeds. At that point in time, the power of Mafia was at its peak.

America saw some effective criminal bosses like Benjamin Siegel, Al Capone, Bugs Moran, Johnny Torrio, Charles Luciano and Peter Licavoli. Charles Luciano even managed to build prostitution rackets all across Manhattan.After suffering several loses, the American government passed a prohibition bill. But the results were devastating, and the frequency of crime families activities increased a lot.
