Willie Pep came to Youngstown to honor his friend and Youngstown’s favorite fighters,Tony Janiro. Tony entered the Curbstone Coaches hall of Fame in 1984. Many other fighters were there such as Bo-Jack, Carmen Basilio,It waas a great event.

Frank Lentine was a great fighter who had dangerous left hook. He was a tough fighter and a great contender. he retired in 1954 and married his childhood sweetheart Clara (Dolly) Belfast. He died in 2002 leaving his wife Clara and three sons Frankie,Tony and Domenic.

Tony Janiro was one of the best fighters that came out of Youngstown,Ohio. He was handsome young man who lived the life of a movie star. He loved life to the fullest.
he returned to Youngstown and pasted away in 1985. He was an inspiration to the young fighters.
